“Both politicians and high-level executives should know that leading is not the same thing as managing, that talent does not replace effort, and that to be successful, we must acknowledge that failure exists.” With these words, the Honorary Chairman of La Zagaleta, Enrique Pérez Flores, opened the second edition of Foro La Zagaleta, now a benchmark event for top-level executives and marketing professionals.
On May 31st 2013, more than 600 by-invitation-only guests filled the Marbella Congress Hall for a day of conferences and panel discussions, led by Ana García Siñériz. The main representatives for brands like Coca-Cola, Google and Freixenet, among others, were responsible for sharing key tips for overcoming obstacles facing nearly all industries today. Some of the most important – globalizing the brand and fully integrating into digital marketing strategies.
Local authorities, like Ángeles Muñoz, Mayoress of Marbella, and Elías Bendodo, President of the Deputación of Málaga, were also present to support Foro La Zagaleta.
Mid-way through the event, guests were guided to Hotel Melià Don Pepe for a networking lunch served by Dani García catering, where the speakers were available to answer questions and mingle with the public.
La Zagaleta rounded out the day with a private gala dinner held at one of the estate’s Signature Villas. Saturday night, the festivities moved to Puerto Banús, where Italian firm, Salvatore Ferragamo, joined La Zagaleta in co-hosting a private party for nearly 400 guests. An artisan shoe-maker was on hand to carefully craft some of the brand’s most iconic shoes, while models wearing the latest collection interacted with the crowd. Live drums and saxophone, as well as a DJ topped off the party.
